Are you a student moving to the Caribbean for veterinary or medical school or someone moving for a new adventure? If you answered yes this list was made for you! This list is based on packing lists and products I personally have used while traveling abroad.

This hat is great for tropical climates where it rains every day. A great alternative to an umbrella.
Pill Case
I like these pill cases because they have compartments for each day of the week. This one is great for your carry-on.
Pill Organizer
I really like this organizer because it holds a much larger quantity of pills. This one is great for people who have to bring a few months' worths. This one is great for throwing in your suitcase.
Personal Recommendation
Blue Light Filtering Reading Glasses
I love these reading/blue light blocking glasses. They come in a variety of magnifications and four different color choices. They are super comfortable and fit well. I just ordered a couple more pairs for travel.
Deftget First Aid Kit
This kit has everything you need for survival or just traveling. I like this kit because it has a nice zip-up case and many items you don't find in your traditional travel first aid kit.
Ultimate Multitool
This is a great multitool to bring with you because it has everything. It is bulkier than some of the others but has everything you need and is better for larger jobs. Just make sure to check this tool in your luggage.
Wallet Ninja
This multitool gift set is a great item for traveling. The TSA-compliant wallet card can go right in your carry-on luggage. The wallet card has 37 tools, and the gift set includes an emergency whistle, money clip,  carabiner, firestarter, and a keyring. The wallet card also comes with a nice sleeve to carry it in.
TSA Luggage Locks
This set of four locks are TSA approved. They are really cool because they have a red indicator that pops up if your lock has been opened by a security officer.
Pacsafe Portable Travel Safe
This travel case is made of cut-resistant material, outfitted with cable for securing it to an object, and folds flat. This is a great item to put in your suitcase or travel bag. The lock is sold separately (see below).

This lock goes with the travel safe pictured above. It locks via combination.
Masterlock Travel Safe
This is another style of travel safe. The safe is constructed with water and shock-resistant material. A great safe for traveling if you want something sturdier.
Honeywell Fire Resistant Safe
If you are moving abroad and want a nice safe for your living quarters, this one is for you. The safe is 0.26 cubic feet and has fire-resistant insulation. It is great for jewelry, credit cards, or electronics.
The Best Fireproof Safe
If you aren't looking for a budget safe, this one is for you. It has all the bells and whistles. It can withstand temperatures up to 1700 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour and withstand 24 hours submerged in 8 inches of water. Besides that, it can withstand falls of 15 feet or less. This safe is the best of the best. There are three sizes available.

Recommendation for SGU Students
I am recommending this item for students moving to Grenada for school. Grenada uses type G plugs and uses 230 voltage and 50 Hz. This transformer is best used with smaller items.

Essential Cooling Sheets
When moving abroad, many people like to bring their own sheets. After doing a lot of research on sheets, I found these cooling sheets to be recommended by many people. These sheets pull moisture away from the skin to allow for evaporative cooling. They come in a variety of sizes and colors.
Essential Travel Blanket
This is a great blanket to bring with you on the airplane, in the car or your backpack to class. Â It is breathable, dries fast and is compact. You can choose from a variety of colors.
A Multivitamin
This is a good all-around multivitamin for everyone. These multivitamins are bioactive, meaning they are in a form the body can use. They are also hypoallergenic.
Foldable Storage Bins
These are great for storing school supplies, shoes, or accessories. Being one of Amazon's best seller's I had to add these to this list. They fold up nicely for travel.
Disposable Face Masks
I had to add disposable face masks to this list in these times of the pandemic.
Portable Extension Cord
This cord is the one I have used for travel in the past. It is outfitted with US outlets so you may need to plug it into a converter. It works well for travel and doesn't take up much room.
Waterproof Backpack Cover
If you are moving or traveling to a place that has a lot of precipitation this cover is a must-have. It effectively protects your bag or backpack from getting wet and keeping your electronics dry.
Foldable Travel Hangers
These are great if you don't have a lot of space in your suitcase or bag. One package contains 24 hangers. These hangers are ultra-portable and lightweight.
She's Birdie Personal Safety Alarm
This alarm is a must-have if you are traveling alone. It is made by women for women. Features include an alarm and flashing strobe lights.
Umbrella
This is a great umbrella for heavy wind., heavy rain, and travel. Its Teflon coating makes it waterproof as well. This umbrella can be operated with one hand. This brand has a lifetime replacement policy.
Lunchbox
This is a great lunchbox to bring on your travels. It includes cutlery, a saucepot, and a divider. It is both dishwasher and freezer safe. Its compact design is perfect for travel.
